Honouring Victorian Opera’s widely acknowledged reputation by extending their physical stage to a new digital podium.
Victorian Opera (VO) is undoubtedly one of the most innovative, creative, and unpredictable not-for-profit opera companies in Australia. To honour this, a new and unique creative direction had to be created to extend the on-stage experience to the digital space.
To realise the unlimited potential to move people through art and spark conversation, we needed to clean house first. As with many cultural institutions, VO’s old and tired online platform made for a fragmented and overly confusing experience for both web-administrators and visitors.


Result
The new and improved digital podium encourages visitors to interact and explore, and includes a typical no-dead-ends strategy to allow them to get ‘lost’ in the content. All whilst keeping things simple and ‘plain’.
The refresh introduced a staggering increase in session views and time, as well as the improved experience for admins.
